Two Year Old.

We celebrated Avah turning two at hullabaloo. Great time and lots of fun!
She referred to her bday as happy you Avah.. We corrected her 100X - it didn't matter!
Some new things..
She is counting to 10 without any mistakes
Naming shapes without mistake
Talking in mostly 3 word sentences
Had her toe nails painted for the first time
Had a picnic dinner on the floor
She is Obsessed with the show Barney
**Always.. I'm not exaggerating uses please, thank you and your welcome :) Out of everything I do as a momma I want her to be respectful-- if she doesn't like carrots or broccoli (so what!) if she enjoys chick fil a and ice cream I'm okay with that... If she's a rude, spastic---NOT Ok! I've noticed so many parents putting this huge emphasis on food and "natural" cleaning products --to I don't know make their kids healthy & make themselves look good (?!) but then totally forget the manners part. ( you know the kids your around 5 mins and want to spank yourself?!)
Loves giving Addy kisses--> Also has some jealous moments which are getting better but are still challenging!

Our girls

We've been BUSy! Between keeping a toddler content and having fun + feeding/diapering/dr appts of a new baby time is flying by! Addy had her 2 week check up, she weighed 7lbs and 6 oz. Great weight gain, I was told to keep up what I'm doing! Addy has a lite bit of a schedule already... She's wide awake by 7am and stays up for a few hours- she'll cluster feed a little. Then she eats/ naps on and off till the evening. At that point same thing cluster feed a few hours and then to sleep. She sleeps anywhere from 2-4 hrs, nurses and then right back to sleep. Let's hope she continues these good habits!! :) she loves to be held and her sister loves to hold her!
Avah is slowly adjusting.. She either wants to be all about her or wants to throw a fit when I'm nursing or can't hold her. It's def been a challenge but everyday is getting better. She hasn't felt really good with molars coming in so I'm sure that has a lot to do with the "fits" we've been keeping her busy with the park, playing outside, children's museum and hullabaloo. We also have a horse staying behind us that she got to ride too! Trying to give her that one on one attention..

Adalyn Rose is here!

One word for Addy's birth story- FABULOUS!! Ahh never thought I'd use that word in regards to labor after my first experience but it was! It began on Tueaday at midnight with my water breaking.. Same response from David " are you sure you didn't pee" ( then he laughs because he knows it's a joke now) I try to tiptoe out of Avah's room where I was sleeping.. Fail. So Avah is awake now and to her " I'm leaking" everywhere. We contemplate calling the dr because I wasn't having contractions. David talks me into it because it's clear now Avah isn't going back to sleep until we get out of the house. I speak to Dr Pierson. She urges me to get there quickly because the second time is faster. We leave at around 1am once Nana arrives and get to the hospital at 2am. At this point contractions felt like severe cramps but I could walk. We stop by Krisy Kreme because I was starving and feared I wouldn't be able to eat for the next 12 hrs. We arrive and they put us in a triage room. I'm only 1 cm but yet each time a contraction came on I was clinching the bed rail, breathing hard and thinking" I can do anything for a min" I've got to get through this! David tried to rub my feet a few times I shook my head, I was in a zone of getting through the pain but at the same time feeling am I a wuss because if I'm only 1 cm I don't think I'll make it without some meds. 20-30 mins passed by and then I'm screaming to David " Baby is coming!!! Get someone!!" David pushes the red button and 10 people flood in.. I'm 8 cm! Dr rushes in, they hurriedly wheel my bed to a delivery room, prop up the stir ups Dr. Pierson says next contraction push! I push and there she is!!! WOW, what an incredible feeling!! One push?!?
To think I had been stressing earlier in the day because Dr said I was "closed" and they scheduled me an induction date. I was so upset.. Shows them what they know.
I had some very uncomfortable minor complications weeks 36-38ish. Then 2 amazing weeks of Avah and mommy time. God has such an amazing way of working things out. Had Addy came early like I wanted Avah and I wouldn't of had so much fun together! We are beyond blessed to have these healthy angels and that is not to be taken for granted. Now we begin to settle as our family of 4. :)

Avah's last few weeks of being the "only child"

So after I was put on medical leave I was pretty bummed because there was a good 2-3 weeks of not being able to fully enjoy play with Avah. I wanted days where we could do lots of special things with her before the big day! After I started feeling better we have certainly made the most of each day and it has been perfect!

We have-
Painted
Made Valentines Day crafts
Played with play dough
Played at Hullabaloo
Had many fun park visits
Played in the snow {2 full snow days} :)
Gone out to breakfast {just us}, lunch and dinner! YUM!!
Played at Power of Play
& today went golfing! Wow, a lot has been crammed into a week or so!

Where is Adelyn?! All this running around plus walks and cleaning.. Still waiting.. Already the opposite of big sister who was born at 38 weeks. We are now one day short of my DD. I guess the longer she hibernates the better, maybe she's waiting for warmer weather?! Ha!
Here are some pics of all of fun!

22 months, hard to believe!

New Avah-isms....
Count 1,2,3
Identify colors, her favorite is blue
At this point she can do any animal sound really but my favorite is an owl- tooweettoowoo ( that's my interpretation)
She repeats everything!
All babies are "Emma"
Putting 2 and 3 words together
Tells me when she's wet
She's great at sharing (most of the time) hugging friends, being sweet.
She only throws tantrums for me--seriously... David can say- use your words, tell me what's wrong and she stops and they correct what ever it is.
Babies have to go in the car
She loves frozen corn, if I heat it she doesn't eat it.
Chocolate="chalk" and she runs to the freezer at least once a day for it..
We've been on an apple kick, it's the bed time snack every night
We LOVE watching her dance, she has special moves to twinkle twinkle, wheels on the bus, if your happy, baa baa black sheep
Hmmmm I'm sure there is more.. But right now my brain is fried with this pregnancy!
Baby L2 is still growing strong! Heart beat was 153 last time and she was very low! I've felt pretty much the same as my pregnancy with Avah.

Lights, Tree, Presents {were ready!}

Airlie Gardens was a blast! We are making this annual Christmas  tradition- perfect for all ages esp with a toddler who loves to run and watch trains!
We have also been frequenting Hullabaloo Play once a week due to some really cool weather {that has changed now } a Avah loves her "play place" as she calls it. Whenever we drive through hampstead she calls out "play place" and when we don't stop she throws a fit for a good 10 mins, fun!
She is also referring to the baby in mommys tummy as "Addy Rose" yes we finally decided Baby L2 will be Adalynn Rose... We are still unsure how we are going to spell it but that's one option.
Speaking of, pregnancy has been smooth thus far. However I'm experiencing severe pelvic pain this time around. So bad most nights I can barely walk and it hurts to lay down or sit. Maternity shirts are tight and there is never anything to wear! I'm ready to have my body back!

Avah has been such a good little helper as you can see she is already helping with dishes :)
New things this week:
She says one and hold one finger, now two and holds up 2 fingers
She can identify the color blue..
She knows practically every nursery rhyme- I say baa baa... She says yes yes before I get to the yes sir part. For twinkle little star she says are and up right before the song too. I could go on.. And all songs have some hand movement or little dance.

Amen!

So as we are doing bath time one night I ask Avah about her school day.. The usual questions did your teacher read a book?.. Did you play with Lila? Etc.. And then Avah says "amen!" Oh did you say amen at snack time? She nods her head yes and closes her hands. Now on during bathtime mostly on school days she'll say amen many many times. It's the cutest!
Trying to remember prayers at mealtimes-- having babies def makes you want to be a better person.

At her 21 month appt she was 24 lbs and in the 80% for height, shocking to us!
New avahism-->
She will not sit with Santa, we've tried twice. Just gives a polite wave from 6 ft away.
She loves hummus
She pushes chairs to the counter, light switches and door locks {she can unlock them too} awesome.
She tries to dress herself but still needs some help.. Very frustrating for a determined little girl!
She will say one and hold up one finger when you ask her age
She loves ring around the Rosie and will perform if your happy and you know it
Every morning I live for work she has to stand with Dada at the door and hear me go beep beep.
