and its already May?!

A weekend in Ohio, a funeral, a birthday, Easter and a spring break...

-after an unsettling and heartbreaking call from my mom I went home April 7th to visit my very ill grandmother in Ohio. Funerals bring about every uncomfortable bone in my body (as I am sure it does for most people)

-on April 14th my grandmother passed away, just shy of her 80th Birthday.

-April 29th I celebrated with my sister to kick off her 40th birthday week. We had a blast..but that inevitable when were together. I always have the most fun with my sisters..I wish there were more time in a day/week/month/year!! We started the night at Manna and then headed out in Wrightsville beach.

-Since David was working on Easter I spent time with my sister and her family. We had shrimp tacos, salsa/chips and a martini (s). It was delish!!

-For spring break I went back to Ohio..only after my first flight was canceled and my return was 2 hours late. I have vowed I will never fly to Ohio again, driving from here on out. The actual time spent there was GREAT! I am so gracious to have such a wonderful mom and step-dad. We had such a good time hanging out downtown Columbus, sipping an afternoon drink, eating everything in sight and gossiping over work troubles! lol. I love that my parents can "hang" I can talk to them about anything, they give the best advice and are fun to be around. I also had time to meet up with my friends for dinner and drinks which was well overdue. I miss my friends so much in Ohio. No one knows you like old friends..

So needless to say it was a whirlwind April..it came and went in the blink of an eye! So ready for May to do the same! Just a few short weeks of school left and then my summer will be here! :)
